As a community of faith, we hold each other in prayer each day...

  • FOR THOSE WHO ARE SICK: Msgr. O'Brien (who fell and hurt his knees), Deacon Bill, Hazel S., Patti L., Bonnie W., Dolores M., Ernestine, Ed S., Alethia G., Ruth H., Tom S. for victims of recent shootings in our neighborhood; and all who are sick with COVID or struggling with mental illness

  • FOR THOSE WHO ARE GRIEVING: For those grieving a loved one who died in recent days, and those who lost someone to the violence in our City. Lord, heaven mercy on those who have died!

  • FOR SPECIAL NEEDS: for peace in Ethiopia, Sudan & Ukraine, for young families who are without a Church Home; for those who suffer with anxiety.


  • The oldest person in the world is a nun in France!

  • Speaking of nuns - one just saved a priest who was being attacked!

  • Amongst those being ordained priests in Philadelphia this year is a man who was planning to be a Presbyterian Minister!

  • Father Chris invited the MEN OF THE PARISH to join him to watch the Phillies beat the Giants on Wednesday, June 1st. The game is 6:05 pm in South Philly and tickets will likely be $40. Interested in joining him? Send your name and number of tickets needed to frchriswalsh@gmail.com

  • Have Left Overs? Don’t toss them out! Why not package them for Caring for Friends? We are in constant need of a variety of meals for ailing seniors. The one meal that you discard can be a meal for an ailing senior living alone. Containers are located in the Sacristy. Frozen meals can be dropped off at the Rectory between the hours of 8:30 AM and 5:00 PM. For more info, contact Arleen at 215-549-3760.

  • On Sunday, May 15th at 3 pm there will be a Concert for Racial Healing at our Cathedral. It will feature choirs from various ethnic communities and a message from Archbishop Perez. Mark your calendar!

Deb Gawthrop will host an IN-PERSON Grief Support Group at St. Luke Chapel House (2330 Fairhill Road, Glenside. The series has been a blessing for many people from St. Raymond. Call 215-624-8190 to save your place. Topics are: Grief & Family (May 10); Myths about Grief (May 24) & Does Grief End? (June 7). Invite a friend!


Join fellow Christians from Our Lady Help of Christians (Abington) and Immaculate Conception (Jenkintown) for this wonderful opportunity to meet others and build community!



Our parish is partnering with Artcinia to bring great music to our neighborhood. Please plan to be with us for the first of three concerts in 2022 on Pentecost Sunday. Tickets are $10 and are purchased ONLINE. Limited scholarships are available, contact the Parish Office.


Do you desire greater spiritual freedom? Has abuse, abandonment, addiction or something else left a lasting hurt in your life? Did Fr. Chris’ homilies on VICTORY increase your desire for VICTORY? Consider attending the Unbound Conference on May 6th & 7th in Media, PA (Delaware County). It is 6:30-9p on Friday and 9 am to 7:30 pm on Saturday. It will be a blessing. On Sunday, May 29th we will have lunch after the 10 am Mass in the School Hall. This is free and a chance to gather as a Church Family during the Easter Season - and celebrate the Ascension of Jesus into heaven. On Saturday, June 11th at 3 pm, we will “take a trip” to see the show MOSES on South Street in Philadelphia. The all-black cast makes the story of Moses come alive in an inspiring story of freedom. The cast includes men who have sung at St. Raymond! The cost, including transportation, will be approx. $80. Interested? Please contact Shelley Johnson at 215-247-7411. Today is the Feast of St. Catherine of Siena.

She was a fierce woman of faith - may we all learn from her!
