“Jesus spoke again saying, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life'” (John 8:12). The Catholic Church teaches that Jesus Christ, the son of God, entered into our world to save us from sin and bring us salvation. As He preached His message He invited his listeners to repent and to follow in his footsteps. Every human being is in constant need of conversion and is invited to reach for truth. We believe the fullness of truth is found in the Catholic Church and so we extend to all this invitation.
If you or someone you know would like to hear more about Jesus and placing your trust in God, we invite you to call the Parish Office (215-549-3760) and speak to someone. You will be invited to attend an Inquiry Session.
Inquiry sessions DO NOT assume a commitment to join the Catholic Church. Inquiry sessions are opportunities to ask questions about God, Jesus, the Catholic Church, the Mass, Saints, Sacraments, prayer, etc.
All who are unbaptized, baptized into another Christian Denomination (Baptist, AME, etc.) or baptized Catholic but have not received Eucharist or Confirmation are invited to participate. Inquiry sessions are for those who wish to inquire, explore, and search for ways to grow in relationship with God, and consider the possibility of joining the Catholic Church.
Inquirers are encouraged to attend these Sessions to equip them with the knowledge necessary to make a decision about becoming part of the Catholic Church, if they sense God is calling them.
If they decide to be baptized into the Catholic Faith, or to become a fully initiated member of the Catholic Church then they are invited to continue in the process called the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) which will lead to the reception of the Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, (for those who are unbaptized), Eucharist and Confirmation for those who have been previously baptized.
If you believe God might be calling you into a relationship with Him, we welcome your inquiry and will be glad to walk with you as you seek to discern His will for your life
