Good News for December 23rd

Please plan how and when you will worship at Christmas! These Holy Days must be celebrated as God is worthy of our praise. You are encouraged to join us in person at one of the Christmas Eve or Christmas Day Masses or at least join us for the 8am Mass in the “Days of Christmas) when there is a smaller crowd in the Church. Be nourished by the Eucharist, be inspired by our holy ground decorated so beautifully and receive all that the Lord is offering. Questions about worship? Please call the Parish Office.

Advent is a wonderful time to encounter the Lord’s mercy and that can happen at any Catholic Church or the Miraculous Medal Shrine. Why should I go to confession? How do I go to confession? Father Chris will join many other priests on Wednesday, December 23rd at 7pm at St. Luke Church in Glenside. Father Chris is always willing to meet with you privately at a convenient time and even make a trip to your house…confession can be that wonderful for you!

We continue our journey of redemption as we journey through the weeks of Advent. God is doing something in you for sure…are you paying attention to Him and His voice? Did you hear Fr. Chris’ words on being REDEEMED FROM OUR ANXIETY. The weekly BULLETIN is always a source of good information and encouragement as well.

As we move through the long season of this pandemic, we must keep our young people connected to the Good News of the Gospel. Please share this TEACHING FROM BROCK for Holy Family Sunday and be sure to download the handout as well so our young disciples will remain in a place of grace!

Do you have plans for New Year’s Eve? Why not join us for our annual Watch Hour on December 31st at 10pm as we prayerfully reflect on the experience of the pandemic. The Holy Hour will be followed by Mass at 11pm. There will be Mass at 9am on January 1st as we celebrate the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God (and World Day of Peace).

The generosity of our Church Family and Friends was amazing once again as we provide Christmas for friends living in 5 different facilities in the area. All who received the gifts (on Monday and Tuesday) were so overwhelmed. Those who will receive the food (going out on Thursday) will also be excited. Whatever you did – you make this happen!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!
