Good News for Sept. 2nd

As we enter into the Labor Day weekend, please commit to worshipping with us on Saturday at 5pm, Sunday at 8am or 10am, as well as possibly joining us Monday at 9am to pray for workers and those looking for work. Please pray… On this weekend, when we rest from our usual labors, loving Father, we pray for all who shoulder the tasks of human labor—in the marketplace, in factories and offices, in the professions, and in family living.  We thank you, Lord, for the gift and opportunity of work; may our efforts always be pure of heart, for the good of others and the glory of your name.  We lift up to you all who long for just employment and those who work to defend the rights and needs of workers everywhere.  May those of us who are now retired always remember that we still make a valuable contribution to our Church and our world by our prayers and deeds of charity.  May our working and our resting all give praise to you until the day we share together in eternal rest with all our departed in your Kingdom as you live and reign Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

Our Conversation Groups on “Being Human Together” will begin again the week of September 14th. They cover a variety of topics and take place bother via zoom and in person. Have you heard about PODS? As we face the start of a very strange school year, many parents are looking for an alternative to their children being at home every day. While safety from COVID is valid, so is the child’s need for socializing and the mental wellness of parents. The idea of grouping students into smaller groups in am appropriate space outside the home has gained traction and the groups are often called PODS (read about them HERE). Saint Raymond would like offer parents of school age children the opportunity to have their children join a POD at Saint Raymond. If you are interested in learning more, please complete THIS FORM so that we can begin the process of gathering information. If you are interested in being an adult who provides supervision and assistance to our young people, please contact Richara. We have been blessed with many responses and are grateful!
