Naomi and her sons David and James arrived at Saint Raymond about 10 weeks ago. They fled Sierre Leone in Africa because the life of David, who was born with albinism, was constantly threatened. Since arriving at St. Raymond she has gotten all of her documents secured, opened a bank account, set a budget, enrolled David in Kindergarten at Edmonds Elementary and James in Day Care and started job training. Her heart is set on becoming a CNA and we hope that happens soon!
On September 15th she will move into an apartment on Providence Avenue. We need help in setting up the apartment. Ideally, things should be new. We will accept used items if they are in excellent condition. Please see the NEED LIST and decide what you can purchase. Items can be brought to the Parish Office or Church (weekends) or send via Amazon or another source to 1350 E Vernon Rd Phila PA 19150. Please mark all packages ATTN: NAOMI.
We could use a bit more help with painting on Sunday (1pm to 6pm) as well. Give Father Chris a call at 215-549-3760.
God bless your kindness!
