On Sunday, June 17th (Father’s Day), St Raymond will host sisters and brothers from across the Archdiocese of Philadelphia for a celebration of World Refugee Sunday. In addition to the 8 individuals we have hosted as a parish, we will be joined by some of the almost 50 refugees from Congo, Ivory Coast, Butan, Iraq, Afghanistan, Ukraine and Eritrea. We will celebrate God’s call to welcome the refugee at our 10am Mass and there will be a “Welcome to Philadelphia” reception to follow.
In our spirit of hospitality, all are asked to bring a gift for our refugee families: fruit, paper products (paper towels or toilet paper), cleaning supplies, laundry detergent or non-perishable foods (rice, pasta, tuna) which will processed up the aisle during the offertory procession.
If you have questions, please contact our parish office at 215-549-3760.
