Happy Easter!

Alleluia!  Alleluia!  He is Risen indeed!

After the long 40 days of Lent (can you remember the snow we had before and after Ash Wednesday…it seems like a distant memory now, huh?) we have arrived at the Holy Triduum and the Feast of Jesus’ Rising from the Dead.  His sacrifice on the Cross was accepted by the Father and the gates of heaven are opened to us!

Did you miss our celebration of the Lord’s Supper on Holy Thursday?  Watch it HERE.

Did you miss our celebration of the Lord’s Passion on Good Friday?  Watch it HERE.

Are you able to spend some time preparing for Easter Sunday by praying with the readings?  Here is an excellent RESOURCE for your prayerfully entering Easter Sunday.

After the 10am Easter Mass we will have an Easter Egg Hunt for the children (8 and under) on front lawn of the Church!  All of the children are most welcome!  Prizes for best dressed child and best hat (women) and best suit (men)!  A little competition is always a good thing.. right?  Here is our Sunday Bulletin for Easter.

We offer our sympathy to the family of Marie Handy who passed away last weekend.  Her funeral is Monday, April 21st at 10:30am.  May she rest in peace and her family find comfort in the Lord!

Please keep in your prayers our members who are sick, especially Juanita Scipio who has made the choice for Hospice Care.  Her family asks that there be no visitors, but phone calls and cards are welcome.  May the Lord grant her comfort and peace!

On Sunday, April 27th we will celebrate the Feast of Divine Mercy, a feast celebrating the tender mercy and compassion of our Lord.  In Rome, there will be the Canonization of Pope John Paul II and Pope John XXIII, read more on them HERE.  You may also learn about the Divine Mercy Devotion HERE.
