God so loved the world that He sent His only Son so that whoever believed in Him will not die, but will have eternal life! How blessed we are that our God loved us enough to send Jesus to take on our human nature, becoming one with us so that we might be saved by one like us!
Please join us for Mass on Christmas Eve at 7pm or Christmas Day at 10am. Bring your friends and family to the celebration of Jesus’ birth. We are so blessed and we want to share the blessings indeed! One of our favorite Christmas Songs at St. Raymond is Mary, Did You Know? Watch this video (it will touch your hearts for sure)!
We will welcome more than 100 guests on Christmas Day as part of our Holiday of Hope celebration with our neighbors at Bethel Deliverance Church. What an honor to spend Christmas serving our sisters and brothers who find themselves in need. May the offering of our time, treasure and love be pleasing to God this Christmas!
For the past several years our parish was involved with P.O.W.E.R. (Philadelphians Organized to Witness, Empower and Rebuild). While the parish has decided for a variety of reasons to end our association with P.O.W.E.R., we rejoice in a recent success the organization has had with regard to a living wage at the Philadelphia Airport. Praise God for this success which you can learn more about HERE.
Prepare for next Sunday…when we celebrate the Solemnity of the Holy Family by taking time with God’s Word!
As you plan your New Year’s Eve, please consider joining us for a Watch Hour from 10pm to 11pm with a Mass for the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God at 11pm (we will be joined by our young people who are having a “lock in” that evening). We will also have Mass on January 1st at 9am. Use this video to reflect on the reality of Mary as Mother of God!
