Oct 11th News

Praised be Jesus Christ – now and forever!

Just some reminders about the great things happening these days at our Church Home…

On Saturday, October 12th there is a Formation Session for Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion which is an opportunity for all who serve the Holy Eucharist during weekend masses to gather for prayer, reflection and the opportunity to grow in this vital ministry for our Church Family.  We will gather in the Church at 9am and conclude before 11am.  Please call the Parish Office if you are unable to join us.

On Saturday evening we will also have another Star Party for our young people.  We partner with the Franklin Institute to introduce our young people (6th to 12th grade) to astronomy.  We gather in the Sr Rosemary Room at 7pm and conclude around 9:30pm.  No cost; all are welcome.

On Sunday, October 13th a group will take part in the Year of Faith Pilgrimage to our Cathedral, leaving our Church at 1pm and walking to the Cathedral.  It will be a sure blessing.  We will walk Vernon Road to Stenton Ave., Stenton to Broad Street and Broad to Center City (if you get tired, hop on the Subway).  Wear comfortable shoes!  We hope to be back at St Raymond (via subway and car) by 5:30pm.

Our Study of the Book of Job continues on Monday evenings; all are welcome at 7pm.

There are still a few seats left for the Mitchell Scholarship Dinner on Oct 25th and the Magnificat Day on Nov. 9th.  Please contact Michelle at the Parish Office (215-549-3760) for more information!
